RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hormel Foods Corporation is seeking an experienced Manager of Syndication and Content Strategy. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the data and technology to drive optimal content syndication across various internal and external platforms within the CPG space. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • External Facing Data Strategy

  • Leads data governance programs for Product Information Management (PIM) & Digital Asset Management (DAM), managing KPIs for success.

  • Maintains expert knowledge of customer data quality expectations and scoring methodologies. Executes programs to meet and exceed customer expectations.

  • Owns relationships with PIM and DAM vendors and implementation partners. Collaborates with vendors and partners on syndication trends and capabilities.

  • Engages in industry and user groups to leverage technology tools for best-in-class content.

  • Platform and Data Expertise

  • Maintains expert knowledge of data and applications in content syndication.

  • Experienced in PIM and DAM system operations, including configuration, integrations, workflows, channels, and syndication.

  • Leads ownership and stewardship of PIM & DAM platforms.

  • People Leadership

  • Leads and directs a team of PIM/DAM administrators and analysts.

  • Fosters a collaborative and innovative team environment.

  • Project and Change Management

  • Experienced in scoping, scaling, and leading projects to successful completion, emphasizing user adoption of systems, rules, and processes.

  • Collaborates on future roadmaps and implementation of new functionalities.

  • Works cross-functionally to ensure rules are understood and followed, seeking continuous improvement.

  • Ensures proper issue reporting and escalation to all stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and data recipients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in a business information systems discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience in CPG data management and data syndication in a corporate environment.

  • Proven experience working with technical and functional team members.

  • In-depth knowledge of syndication concepts, tools, and best practices.

  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Excel to accomplish data manipulation and data lookups.

  • Clear and organized writer, communicator, and presenter to varying levels of an organization.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proven project definition and management capabilities.

  • Tested problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • A strong pattern of initiative.

  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

  • Certification in data related field.

  • Experience with Aprimo DAM and Salsify PIM.

  • Experience with content management data pools, such as Salsify, Syndigo, 1Worldsync.

  • Experience with retail and foodservice customers data portals. (e.g., Walmart’s Supplier One)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 10% of the time.

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $117,000-$164,000 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
