Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in conveyor systems and industrial controls. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance, industrial electrical systems (480V), and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance for FedEx facilities, material handling equipment, conveyors, electrical and mechanical equipment, motor controls, and PLCs (troubleshooting only).

• Act as the primary maintenance support for FedEx facilities, addressing all breakdowns and PM needs.

• Undertake general handyman tasks such as changing lights and other required duties.

• Work primarily at local FedEx facilities between Syracuse and Binghamton, with the willingness to travel within a two-hour radius.

Essential Skills

• Experience with conveyor systems

• Knowledge and experience working with industrial controls and the ability to troubleshoot using blueprints

• Insight on preventative maintenance (PMs)

• Industrial electrical knowledge (480V)

• Ability to interpret and read blueprints and schematics

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience

• Experience working with motor controls

• Experience with industrial three-phase wiring

• Fabrication and welding experience is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EAST SYRACUSE, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
