The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and remains the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County. CDS Coordinator Trainee shadows and supports CDS to improve communication with medical Staff. CDS Coordinator Trainee works closely with CDS to facilitate appropriate clinical documentation of patient care. Other responsibilities include assisting CDS in tracking physician queries and related physician education activities. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Bachelors in medical/health sciences or health services or related fields. 2. Experience with SharePoint, MS Word, Excel, Power point. 3. One year of clinical experience in healthcare care setting. 4. Prior Case Management and CDI experience is desirable. 5. Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and related medical record documents. 6. Knowledge of age-specific needs and the elements of disease processes and related procedures. 7. Strong broad-based clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology / physiology of disease processes. 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. 9.
