Actalent Land Survey Technician in Earth City, Missouri

Description:

Multi‐disciplined engineering, architecture, surveying, and environmental consulting firm comprised of a group of professional individuals who are dedicated to client service, exceeding our clients’ expectations and fostering personal and professional growth through active contributions to our team environment. Because of our growth and expanding client relationships, we are seeking to add a Land Surveying Technician to our team.

As a Land Surveying Technician, you will work in the field, working directly with a Survey Crew Chief on boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction layout, majority of field work will take place in solid waste landfills and power plant fly ash impoundments. You will load and unload equipment, prepare the truck for the day, and assist / learn from the crew chief on a variety of tasks associated with field surveying. The ideal candidate will have the willingness to learn, positive attitude, be dependable and reliable. You will be working directly under a professionally licensed land surveyor who reviews all recorded data and who will also assign projects. Field experience with Trimble total stations, data collectors and GPS, along with the various computations, is necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 0‐5 years of experience in land surveying

  • Field experience with Trimble total stations, data collectors and GPS, along with the various computations, is necessary.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Basic math skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • High school diploma

  • Valid driver’s license
