Ecolab Inc Technical Service Technician in Eagan, Minnesota

Ecolab is seeking a Technical Service Technician. This is an in-person (hybrid) position responsible for the provision of telephone (virtual) technical service to the Ecolab sales and service organization and customers. This position includes technical support concerning varied aspects of Ecolab business, including, but not limited to, Institutional Warewashing, Laundry, and Housekeeping with training provided as needed. What's In It For You The opportunity to take on some of the world's most meaningful challenges, helping customers achieve clean water, safe food, and healthy environments Work with the world's most recognized and iconic brands The ability to make an impact with a company that is passionate about your career development On the job training where you will learn from subject matter experts with proven success Access to best-in-class resources, tools, and technology The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best What You Will Do Contribute to the effectiveness and productivity of the sales and service organization through the accurate and efficient delivery of technical information needed to serve our end use customers Routine call coverage on mid-level call complexity with areas of competence Deliver accurate, courteous telephone service within performance standards including specialty consultation Contribute to new systems development, and resolution of product and equipment quality problems Prompt preparation of special reports, and transfer of follow-up information email or phone Accurate and timely completion of internal ESRs, case entry and quality tracking reports Completion of special project assignments Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, prior customer facing experience Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree, or equivalent experience Basic math skills with the ability to effectively calculate consumption, flow rate, concentration, use cost and dilution rates. Able to troubleshoot day to day operational, preventative maintenance, and training issues in a customer location remotely Polite and professional demeanor, 2 years prior experience with customer interactions Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Familiarity with ticketing systems and video communication platforms Verbal and written language skills sufficient to maintain conversation on technical subjects and courteously perform the phone service Intermediate to advanced P.C. skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications Must be capable of solving product and equipment system application problems over the phone, frequently with limited background information Must be comfortable asking sufficiently probing questions of the caller to obtain additional information to provide effective consultation Good technical written communication skills Benefits Ecolab strives to provide comprehensive and market-competitive benefits to meet the needs of our associates and their families.to see our benefits.
