Thomson Reuters Holdings Inc. Senior Software Engineer, CoCounsel for Government in Eagan, Minnesota
Do you excel at building robust, high-performance systems that meet stringent security and compliance standards? As a Senior Software Engineer on our CoCounsel for Government team, you'll be a key technical contributor in cloud migrations, architecture design, and the development of secure features. You'll work closely with Lead Engineers and product teams to create scalable, reliable solutions that meet the unique needs of government clients. About the role Design & Implement: Develop and maintain core components using AWS, container orchestration (Kubernetes/Helm), and infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef). Code Excellence: Write robust, maintainable code in Python or Java, following best practices for performance and security. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, architects, and fellow engineers to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Security & Compliance: Integrate government regulations (FedRAMP, FIPS) into the development lifecycle, ensuring timely remediation of issues. Performance & Scalability: Identify opportunities to optimize application and infrastructure performance, leveraging metrics and monitoring tools. About You Experience: 4+ years in software engineering, with a focus on cloud-native and container-based architectures. Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (and/or Helm), and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible/Puppet/Chef). Skilled in Python or Java development. Database Skills: Familiarity with designing and optimizing relational databases such as Postgres. Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, thriving in an environment that values knowledge-sharing. Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of or prior exposure to government security frameworks and practices. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in regulated environments. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for performance analysis. Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $88,200 - $163,800. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
