Genesis10 is seeking a AWS Cloud Architect for a contract with our client in Eagan, MN. 100% Remote. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying Kubernetes EKS, RDS Databases/ DB PaaS SQL (Aurora) , no-SQL Databases (Document DB), Fargate, Lambda functions and Bedrock. Candidate should be very familiar with AWS VPC networking services and constructs. The candidate will work in concert with the cloud operations teams for monitoring leveraging the best-in-class observability tooling. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure as code and the ability to design public cloud enterprise-class infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions on AWS. Provide recommendations for multi-regional resiliency and the cloud-native services required to achieve RTO/RPO according to the disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Deploy applications in Kubernetes (EKS or Fargate or other serverless containers), manages AWS databases SQL, and handle networking tasks with VPC. Make recommendations on which Kubernetes solution should be used given application characteristics. Adapt and refine current service control policies which define perimeter and zero trust networking. Develop the design of ingress/egress, service mesh, helm charts, container registry and namespace convention. Implement and manage monitoring solutions to ensure the optimal performance and uptime of our services. We currently leverage standard AWS cloud monitoring like VPC flow logs and Cloud Watch. Ideal candidate should propose services/tools to improve monitoring. Leverage infrastructure as code methodologies for efficient cloud deployment and management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and guide best practices for cloud architecture. Key understanding of applying AWS Best Practices for architecture (Well Architected) to software-defined infrastructure and modern application architecture. Provide recommendations on cloud native identity and access management and storage of secrets. Required Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing solutions on AWS. Proven experience with compute, storage, networking, serverless and security strategies. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code principles. Familiarity with NIST 800-53 cybersecurity controls and the ability to service policies to enforce these controls. Certifications as an AWS Architect is a requirement Bachelors degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience. Experience with health care regulations of PHI, HITRUST, HIPAA is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, meticulous documenter, and a cloud expert with a strong understanding of the AWS architecture and its service offerings.
