JobsRUs.com is currently hiring for Production Operators for a recycling company located in Dundee, MI.
- Previous experience working in a recycling facility is preferred.
Employees work a 12 hour shift, 3 to 4 days per week.
Shift hours are
Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Utilize forklift to carry product to specific lines within the plant
- Move, retrieve, and empty hoppers throughout the plant
- Adhere to all safety procedures and practice good housekeeping.
- Perform job duties in accordance with all written work instructions and procedures.
- Perform quality checks related to line operation.
- As needed utilize manufacturing data systems to perform basic shop floor functions.
- Respond to process control alarms, bringing processes back into control.
- Disposition non-conforming products according to established criteria.
- Coordinates the training sessions for all new hires in the department.
- Identifies opportunities for departmental improvement.
- Assists in changeovers, productivity and scrap.
- Assists in training and mentoring as assigned.
Participate in Plant meetings.
