The Collaboration Services team based in Dundee, Scotland require an experienced Software QA Engineer. The team delivers into a new Remote Teller product that utilizes GCP cloud microservices to deliver a SAAS remote support system to help consumers connect with their bank and service their needs through an ITM. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office.

Qualifications required

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing

  Responsibilities

• Plan and Conduct testing of NCR's product software systems, subsystems, and components

• Apply test methodology, processes, procedures, standards, and tools used by the team

• Exhibit a good understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices

• Coordinate cross-team test activities

• Help mentor, support and give direction to more junior QAs in wider team.

• Perform manual functional and regression testing

• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites

• Perform volume, performance and reliability testing

• Record, maintain and archive test results

• Install and configure test environments including hardware and software components

• Design and develop test scripts that facilitate re-use - Postman

• Record and track all issues uncovered during testing and follow through to resolution

• Manage physical and virtual lab environments

• Apply good debugging and troubleshooting techniques to assist Developers with isolating the problem and determining the solution – review logs, understand the E2E system under test

• Review and provide input for technical documentation, user help materials and customer training

• Contribute to story sizing regarding QA effort

• Review features and stories

• Deploy new services to a cluster – helm, kubernetes

• Create, maintain, and enhance regression test suite - Practices

  Required skillset

• Strong background in white box testing and API testing

• Experience with functional and non-functional testing

• Proficient using Selenium, JMeter/Gatling and RobotFramework

• Hands on experience of GitHub

• Experience with enterprise tools - JIRA, PractiTest, Jenkins

• Experience testing complex products and connected/online services

• Experience in Agile Methodologies and SCRUM

• Experience in any of the cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes

• Able to perform root cause analysis on any issues

• Ability to collaborate and partner with internal teams

• Strong passion for learning and ability to adapt to new technologies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

• Self-directed and highly motivated team player

  Preferred skillset

• ISTQB Certification

• Postman scripting

• Strong knowledge of Test Automation.
