The incumbent will support the head coach in maintaining a highly successful and competitive Division I Women's Hockey Program. The minimum compensation will be determined at the time of the offer based on experience, education, etc. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Support athletes by promoting mental health awareness in order to foster positive team culture. Provide support to the head coach in maintaining a highly competitive and successful Division I Women's Hockey program in a manner compatible with the department and university philosophy, and in compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations. Instruct and teach athletes in sport technique and strategy, help to plan and execute practice and competition plans including the evaluation of opponents, utilize video, and evaluate and recruit qualified athletes to UMD whose athletic skills make them highly competitive and whose academic abilities make them good candidates for our student population. Support the UMD Athletics mission of excellence in the Classroom, Community and Competition; while furthering the strategic plan of UMD, and performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS degree required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
