The position involves 0.4 FTE in informatics and 0.6 FTE for clinical ensuring a balanced approach to technology leadership and direct patient care. The FTE for clinical could be flexible if someone wanted to work part-time, .2FTE--.6FTE.

Responsibilities:
Drive the adoption of generative AI for clinical decision support, automated documentation, and operational efficiencies
Lead the integration of emerging technologies aligned with Essentia Health's goals
Establish and monitor KPIs for technology adoption, including clinician satisfaction and patient outcomes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for successful technology adoption
Stay informed of trends in clinical informatics and emerging technologies, integrating relevant advancements into the organization's strategic goals
Develop and enhance the skills of the clinical informatics team related to emerging technologies
Specialty availability and location of position will be taken into consideration for this job.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or DO) or advanced practice provider (NP, PA, CRNA, CNM) required
Clinical informatics experience required, with the ability to demonstrate practical examples of successful application in improving clinical workflows or outcomes.
Clinical Informatics fellowship training or board certification preferred
Experience with EHR systems, particularly Epic
Proven leadership in a healthcare setting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Collaborative work style with diverse healthcare teams
Compensation
$53 - $200 an hour will vary based on medical specialty. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation
