Digital Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ASIC/SOC Hardware Engineer with a background in project management and the ability to coordinate between customers and internal design departments is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Project Management, RTL Design, simulation on UNIX-based computer environments. The candidate will be responsible for compiling timelines and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time.

Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and Tracking tools would be welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ASIC Design and Development:

  • Design, develop, and validate ASIC hardware components.

  • Perform RTL validation and design verification.

  • Conduct simulations to ensure functionality and performance meet specifications.

  • Project Management:

  • Develop and manage project plans using MS Project and other relevant tools.

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Compile detailed project timelines and schedules.

  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.

  • Customer Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal design teams.

  • Understand customer requirements and ensure they are communicated effectively to the design team.

  • Provide regular updates to customers on project status and address any issues promptly.

  • Internal Team Coordination:

  • Facilitate communication between various internal departments (e.g., design, verification, production).

  • Ensure that all team members are aware of project milestones and deadlines.

  • Assist in resolving any technical or logistical issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.

  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Utilize UNIX operating systems for design and development tasks.

  • Employ RTL design techniques and tools for efficient hardware development.

  • Use simulation tools to verify design integrity and performance.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Prepare and present regular status reports to management and stakeholders.

  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ASIC hardware design and development.

  • Experience in project management.

  • Proficiency in UNIX, RTL design, and simulation tools.

  • Strong knowledge of office productivity tools and MS Project.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or similar project management certification.

  • Experience with coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in ASIC design and development.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment in Duesseldorf, Germany.

  • Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings or conferences.
