ASM Global Marketing Manager in Dubuque, Iowa
Position Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Marketing Manager for ASM Global - Five Flags Center.
is seeking an individual who is creative, innovative, and be able to handle the responsibility for the administration and direction of the marketing, promotion, advertising, and public relations activities associated with events for Five Flags Arena and historic Five Flags Theater. This position will also develop marketing and advertising campaigns for concerts, family shows, and other events which includes placing media, developing grassroots/viral campaigns, and managing advertising expenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement integrated event marketing plans including advertising, promotion, grassroots, and public relations
Manage all aspects of advertising and media campaigns to include cash and trade media allocations
Negotiate and place media buys for events including television, radio, print and online
Manage multiple advertising budgets and prepare show settlement information for event advertising
Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign preferred)
Oversee the development, management, and implementation of all digital strategies and campaigns, including all social media accounts, websites, electronic newsletters/eblasts, and both internal and external digital displays.
Create and manage all digital/social advertising campaigns based on internal and external requirements to support shows and events at each venue
Design, create and distribute electronic newsletters and eblasts, and maintain user/subscriber database
Creates and supervises marketing plans for events, to include all available services: public relations, media placement, digital campaigns, direct mail, promotional development, non-profit opportunities, traditional and non-traditional
Communicate with outside advertising on on-going campaigns. Write and prepare copy for print/radio/TV spots
Implement PR campaigns for events as needed, including pitching and scheduling TV, radio and print interviews and appearances and creating and executing on and off-site PR events
Manage and coordinate press related duties during events including TV station coverage, photographers, and reviewers
Prepare and distribute company and event press releases and media alerts
Manage and track marketing and advertising agreements for the facility
Coordinate promotions and special events with event promoters and facility personnel. Work in conjunction with Event Services in the planning and execution of events, and event sponsorships.
Manage & maintain proprietary Ticketmaster software application & participate in bi-weekly calls with representative
Provide post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing campaigns
Train and supervise staff and interns within the marketing department to assist in the development and implementation of all marketing aspects for events
Works within the guidelines set forth in ASM’s Management policies
Other marketing duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications preferred.
Previous experience (2-3 years) within venue management or event management in Marketing or Public Relations preferred. Equivalent combination or education and experience will be considered.
Professional qualities should include solid business judgment/decision making ability, delivers on commitments, able to work and deliver a high quantity of quality results under extreme time and budget pressure, time management skills, oral/written communication skills, including public speaking ability.
Personal qualities should include being a self-starter, results driven, self-motivated, aggressiveness, enthusiasm, ambition, drive, tenacity, empathy, compassion, sense of humor, articulate, high degree of integrity, intellect and innovative.
Ability to listen to input from executives, colleagues, and direct reports and take comments, suggestions and critiques open mindedly.
Live Entertainment industry knowledge/background preferred.
Solid knowledge of market and media buying, planning, and social media.
Skills and Abilities
A strong creative skillset and eye for visual composition
Proficiency with required desktop design programs (Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva)
Demonstrable graphic design skills
Proficiency with SEO/SEM, and Google Analytics optimization
Proficient in content management systems and general familiarity with web design
Proficiency with email marketing platforms
Experience with social media tracking methods, including pixel placement and CFC
Experience capturing and editing video for social media and other platforms
Strong time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize event marketing needs to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to give and receive constructive criticism
Must be a “Self-Starter” and have the ability to work with limited supervision
Strong communication skills and the ability to read, write, and understand English
Technology Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator), Canva
Knowledge of digital media and social network platforms is a must (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, LinkedIn, Tik Tok, YouTube, Groupon, etc.).
Must be technologically savvy and have ability to learn new programs quickly and easily.
