Meta Language Manager, Quality Programs in Dublin, Ireland

Summary:

As Language Manager, Quality Programs, you will drive language quality for our localization efforts in markets for which we do not have internal language managers to oversee the quality delivered by our localization vendors, with a specific focus on emerging markets. This is a full-time position based in the Meta London / Dublin office. As we work closely with team members in remote offices and regional stakeholders, it is very important that the candidate be comfortable working with remote teams across different time zones.

Language Manager, Quality Programs Responsibilities:

  1. Work cross-functionally to drive high quality in our localization efforts for markets for which we do not have internal language managers to oversee the quality delivered by our localization vendors, with a specific focus on emerging markets.

  2. Act as the first point of contact for localization vendor quality program managers for quality-related topics, and work closely with Vendor Management in supporting vendor relationships.

  3. Scale quality management processes, drive and oversee change management accordingly when rolling out new processes or implementing changes to existing ones.

  4. Educate internal and external stakeholders on best practices for internationalization.

  5. Support continuous training programs for new and existing linguists.

  6. Analyze feedback from internal and external stakeholders and share learnings with localization vendors.

  7. Help maintain and update educational materials for localization vendors.

  8. Support operational needs for vendor quality monitoring and escalations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA or equivalent (in a relevant field such as translation, linguistics, communications etc. is preferred)

  2. 3+ years experience in the localization industry as a localization project or program manager, language analyst, language specialist, vendor program manager or similar role

  3. Familiarity with CAT and TMS tools

  4. Experience working within or with localization vendors

  2. Cross-functional collaboration experience

  3. Experience with integrating new technologies into the localization workflow, including MT, AI, genAI

  4. Native or near-native fluency in a language other than English
