UnitedHealth Group Intern - Information Technology in Dublin, Ireland

Primary Responsibilities:

• Installation of high-end medical grade workstations and displays at our customer locations (usually hospitals)

• Learning the basics of CHC applications

• Exposure to internal workings of a workstation, how to replace memory, hard disks etc

• Some training and use of Active Directory

• Some basic networking/patching

• Some light documentation (via an app)

• Assisting with Customer Support including vetting incoming calls

• Supporting our Production Engineers. Production engineers build all our servers and workstations at our production facility in Santry

• Exposure to highly regulated environment

• Supporting Technical Engineers on site (hospitals) and in data centers with server and workstation installation/decommissioning and repair

• Occasionally, site-based activities will be required outside Dublin. This may involve being away for a short time (usually 2 nights max at a time).

This is a paid role. All travel and accommodation expenses covered. Our candidates will get a broad insight into Healthcare IT, particularly Radiology departments, and what is involved with Building, deploying, and supporting these solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate should be currently participating or recently completed an Engineering degree course (Biomed, Mechanical, General IT, Mechanical etc).

• Applicants are expected to commit to a minimum duration of 6 months for this internship
