The Digital Sales Manager is accountable to build, motivate, and mentor a high functioning sales team of Account Executives to lead and drive sales conversations to its customer base. Leverages a strong understanding of customers' industries and business priorities.

Understands drivers of digital transformation and coaches/empowers their teams to accelerate their customer digital transformation.

Guides team members to leverage storytelling strategies and create and/or identify opportunities to drive sales.

Manages the development and execution of business planning. Holds team accountable for forecasting expected sales revenue. Manages and provides direction to their team on orchestrating specialized resources to maximize engagement with customer. Coach sellers to gain more industry expertise.

Responsibilities

People Leader:

  • Build and grow healthy teams through talent management, diversity and inclusion, coaching, and career development. Respected sales leader with the ability to attract, retain, and develop account management resources in the field. Inspire and foster a culture of customer-centricity and consumption, adoption and use through collaboration with peers and extended teams.

Customer Engagement

  • Acts as executive sponsor for key accounts. Coaches teams on maintaining strong customer relationships and advocates for customers within Microsoft.

  • Coaches teams to identify contacts in new accounts, building strong customer engagement and help digitally transform their businesses.

  • Coaches and drives growth mindset. Coaches team on senior executive engagements and relevancy to board-level approvals

Account Management

  • Coordinates resources across teams to execute territory plans. Leads teams on territory management best practices and techniques.

  • Coaches teams to ensure that activities are in place to drive consumption leading up to the renewal process. Drives customers to cloud solutions.

  • Maintain Product and Solution Expertise

  • Coordinates across teams to share systematic methods for staying up to date on Microsoft offers and solutions.

  • Ensures team has time to upskill through training and development.

  • Coaches sellers to engage with specialized resources to provide strong solutions-based and technology-based conversations to help customers address their challenges and opportunities.

  • Engages all other managers and leaders to ensure strategic plans are executed with the right set of resources in an orderly manner.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • Demonstrated sales and negotiation experience with year-over-year growth

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) or related field AND sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience with year-over-year growth

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) AND sales and negotiation experience or related work.

  • Demonstrated people management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Extensive software industry sales and negotiation experience with year-over-year growth

OR Bachelor's Degree or Masters in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) or related field AND sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience with year-over-year growth

  • Strategic thinking & execution; Excellent Communicator.

  • Work cohesively with members of the Microsoft sales & services teams, Microsoft partners, and Microsoft corporate sales, engineering, and marketing

  • Growth Mindset

  • Complex sales training (e.g., Miller Hyman, Spin, Michael Bosworth, Challenger, Holden, Krauthammer, etc.), extensive presentation skills, effective marketing tactics, negotiation, financial analysis
