The Principal Architect, Engineering Services will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological vision, strategy, and architecture for our Engineering Services functions. This hands-on senior leadership position will be responsible for providing architectural guidance, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software architecture principles, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, coupled with a proven track record of leading large-scale technical initiatives to enhance Engineering best practices and productivity, product quality improvements, and streamlining DevOps capabilities.

In this role you will provide ....

1. Strategic Leadership

2. Define and drive the strategic vision for the engineering services related to Engineering productivity, quality, and DevOps.

3. Collaborate with senior management to align engineering services with business objectives.

4. Influence and guide the architectural direction of the organization.

5. Architecture and Design

6. Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance architectures for development, testing, and deployment.

7. Ensure architectural alignment across multiple projects and teams.

8. Lead the design of systems and tools to enhance developer productivity and software quality.

9. Innovation and Research

10. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

11. Lead initiatives to evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools that enhance productivity, quality, and DevOps capabilities.

12. Productivity Enhancement

13. Identify bottlenecks in the development process and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

14. Develop and advocate for tools and practices that enhance developer productivity, such as CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools.

15. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards.

16. Collaboration and Communication

17. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and operations, to ensure cohesive delivery.

18. Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices and architectural principles.

19. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

You've Got What it Takes if you Have...

• Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience :

• Minimum of 10 years in software development, with at least 5 years in an architectural role.

• Proven experience in leading large-scale architectural projects.

• Extensive experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.

• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Engineering Productivity, software quality assurance practices and tools.

• Leadership Skills :

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to mentor and develop technical talent.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
