About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for Reservations Supervisor to join Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The main purpose

  • To manage and effectively lead the Reservation Agents in order to ensure all tasks and responsibilities are executed to the highest standards each day.

  • Act as a point of contact for hotel teams for urgent reservations related quires and highlight risk to the business.

  • You will be required to take ownership to drive and deliver your own performance in line with Jumeirah standards for reservation conversion, quality, customer service response times and your personal productivity and efficiency.

  • Ensure daily tasks are completed in line with Jumeirah Standards, ensuring feedback and training provided to colleagues where required.

The main responsibilities are:

  • To have a full and comprehensive knowledge of the hotel facilities.

  • Ensures that the complete details are recorded according to the departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Ensures that the correct market and source code are linked to the rate code used.

  • Ensures all guarantee letters and Travel Agent rooming lists from Companies or Travel agents without credit facilities are received and approved by the Credit Manager prior to guest arrival.

  • Keeps Front Office Manager, during his/her absence Assistant Front Office Manager informed of VIP guests, convention or seminar, consular visit, or any extra ordinary request.

  • Ensures that all special guest requests are linked to the concerned reservation.

  • Prints and reconciles trace report daily.

  • Maintains a neat and orderly work position at all times.

  • Works always in a healthy, hygienic, and safe manner to minimize the risk of accidents to self, colleagues, and guests, in accordance with the hotel and legal standards.

  • Reports immediately to the manager any accident, potential accident or hazard within the department and the hotel.

  • To be a continual source of information, help and assistance to Internal departments in the hotel.

  • Attends all training programs as required by the business needs, including but not limited to regular fire, hygiene, and safety programs.

  • Performs any other duties as and when required according to the needs of the business and as assigned by the Sales Director.

  • To assist department objective to achieve targets.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Customer service and supervisory experience in a five-star environment in Front Office/ Reservations.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written business English.

  • Competency in Opera System.

  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Competent in Complaint Handling.

  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of colleagues and management.
