Our boats are built tough and our fit and finish are first class. Upholstery/Sewer/Tacker Job Duties: Must have the ability to operate industrial sewing machines and have general knowledge and understanding of them. Must have the ability to take verbal and written directions. Must have the ability to read and understand measuring devices, job work orders and how that will relate to the cutting and sewing of materials in accordance to specific patterns and the inspection of materials and products being sewn. Must pay attention to detail on the patterns to complete the assignment with a minimum of re-cuts (errors). Ability to work in a team environment to meet the departments goals.

Qualifications: 1 year with a sewing machine is required. 1 year in upholstery is required. High School Diploma or GED required. One or more years of experience in general labor. Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools. Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines. Must have strong attention to detail. Able to understand and follow verbal and written directions. Must be able to work well with teams and in close proximity to each other.

Physical Requirements Must be able to work in non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature. Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to climb into and out of interior of boats. Must be able to wear proper safety equipment to include respirator when necessary. Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
