Basic Purpose : This position will be responsible for the adjudication of cargo claims based on established rules and regulations
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Investigate and ensure cargo claims are settled within industry standard timelines by determining carrier liability and the specific extent of that liability while applying appropriate NMFC Rules, tariff and contract provisions
Communicates with claimants, company personnel and other interested parties to settle each claim
Performs other duties as assigned by Cargo Claims Manager or Director
