Section Chief – Aircraft Systems Architecture Development and Integration, Systems Engineering Practices
The Aircraft Systems Architecture Development and Integration Team roles and responsibilities are:
Develop and maintain Systems Engineering practices incorporating greater use of model-based techniques to be employed by system engineers across the organization.
Responsible for A/C Level development plan and associated development assurance activities.
Define the A/C level architecture and associated A/C level requirements that best respond to the market and program management needs.
Responsible for preliminary sizing tools development and validation for systems elements and their application.
Responsible for the A/C level systems tradeoffs that lead to the definition of the product configuration and architecture.
Elaborate and maintain the aircraft level requirements with the support of various disciplines.
Responsible for A/C Level I/F requirements and definition (Functional and Physical)
Are responsible for oversight of the A/C Level Validation & Verification activities from the definition to the execution including the associated documentation.
Responsible for A/C Level Validation and Verification Plan. Oversee and author where applicable of A/C Level test plans and procedure production. Oversight of the various work package V&V activities to ensure completeness at A/C level
Responsible for Validation and Verification Summary. Technical oversight of verification and validation reports from various disciplines to ensure completeness at A/C level.

Delegate and organize resources to meet the requirements of the various projects
Participate in manpower planning activities and budget preparation
Be accountable for managing financial resources
Ensure adequate quality level and adherence to Bombardier's Systems Engineering methods and standards for all deliverables produced.
Define individual goals and expected results for employees under your supervision.
Perform employee performance reviews and participate in the recruitment and integration of new employees.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring and training, on a regular basis, to enable employees reach their goals.
Work collaboratively with technical leaders (Fellows, senior experts, chief architects) to align on priorities and decisions.
Communicate effectively and favor efficient open communication.
Support the continuous improvement, growth and industry competitiveness of our Systems Engineering methods captured under the Product Development and Integration Bombardier Manuals.
Act as a senior architect deployed to one of the key major projects and as such be responsible for coordination of the execution of the team assigned to a specific project.
Support building strong relationships with Bombardier’s systems suppliers and other industry stakeholders.
How to thrive in this role?
You have more than 10 years of relevant experience in aircraft control systems architecture development, integration, and certification.
You have experience working with multidisciplinary and technically complex projects in the Aerospace industry.
You have strong knowledge of aircraft and complex systems development process methodologies and associated practices. (ex: ARP4754, ARP4761)
