Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Machinist responsible for the setup, programming, layout, and operation of turning lathes, specifically Mazak and Okuma. This role involves running prototype work and small run production primarily for the Aerospace and Medical industries. The successful candidate will handle materials ranging from plastics to various metals, perform machine setups, and ensure quality control. The position requires working on the first shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Hard Skills

• CNC Machinist on Mazak

• Programming with G&M codes or MasterCam

• Setting GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)

• Operating lathe turning machines

• Using measurement instruments like gauges, micrometers, and dial indicators

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to follow written instructions

• Problem-solving skills

• Time management

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dexter, Michigan.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing setting with 8 different lathes. It includes ample space for operation and is surrounded by office spaces and a breakroom.
