Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
Manufacture and assemble environmental monitoring and remediation equipment, including air-powered submersible pumping systems for groundwater sampling, groundwater remediation, and landfill liquids.
Responsibilities
Load and unload materials and select parts based on the bill of materials.
Perform repetitive lifting up to 35 pounds unassisted and organize materials in the warehouse.
Read inventory codes and organize materials accordingly.
Follow specific work orders and pull parts from inventory based on work orders.
Organize the stock room.
Follow standard operating procedures within the manufacturing area.
Use hand tools for assembly, including wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, sockets, and ratchets.
Work with piping tools for bending and assembling, such as pipe and tube cutters, drain cleaning tools, and repairing and joining tools.
Cut and splice piping products prior to assembly.
Assemble various sizes of PVC pipes.
Use power tools such as drills and sanders.
Essential Skills
1+ year of manufacturing production experience including material handling, assembly, forklift operation, and machine operation.
Ability to read basic work instructions.
Mechanically inclined with basic mechanical experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers and hammers.
Own and wear steel toe boots.
Ability to lift 30+ pounds unassisted.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with piping tools such as pipe and tube cutters, drain cleaning tools, and repairing and joining tools.

Work Environment
You will work 100% of the time in a warehouse and assembly designated area, which is temperature controlled. The job requires lifting up to 30 pounds unassisted and following safety guidelines, including wearing steel toe boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dexter, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
