GENERAL SUMMARY:

  • Provides support within the System Command Center department to produce optimal productivity through the development and maintenance of compliant, efficient, timely process review of access, bed placement and transfer practices and standards.

  • Provides education and ongoing training to support current clinical review, regulatory, and payer standards.

  • Provides education and ongoing training to support safe, timely patient placement standards in accordance with patient placement guidelines/policies.

  • This is accomplished through continuous overview of the demand-response status of all work groups and the continuous redirection and redeployment of resources as required.

  • This includes but is not limited to developing and maintaining standard practices/procedures, providing ongoing education and training, maintaining current knowledge/skill of regulatory and payer standards, tracking/trending quality data, and providing support to the System Command Center access, bed management and transfer teams.

    • Position: 40 hours per week

• Shift: Day Shifts

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

  • Two (2) years of Access Transfer Management Office and/or Utilization Review experience.

  • Previous charge nurse and/or leadership experience preferred.

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Current Michigan Registered Nursing License.
