What You'll Do

We are looking for a Data and Analytics Consultant to join our Benefits and Protection Data & Analytics team. You'll be responsible for finding opportunities within the Benefits and Protection space to leverage data analytics to drive business goals and deliver insights and value through D&A capabilities.
As a strategic consultant, apply analytics expertise, and leadership to transform analytics opportunities into insights to improve business operations and drive measurable results.
Partner with senior leaders to align data strategies with business goals and advocate for a data-driven culture through education and empowerment of business leaders.
Act as a liaison between business and analytics teams to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Champion the strategic use of analytics by leveraging insights and predictive models to drive high-value decisions, improve business processes, and foster a culture of informed, data-driven decision-making.
Drive the adoption of emerging analytics tools and methodologies, consulting on high-impact projects to improve value, measuring results, and ensuring D&A strategies evolve to meet organizational goals.
Develop and cultivate relationships of peers and business partners to further collaboration.
Align data, analytics, technology, and business objectives and outcomes.
Leverage knowledge of data, analytics, and business insights to advocate for analytics and adoption within business and strategic goals.
Effectively communicate goals and objectives to present a comprehensive analytics strategy backed by business leaders.
Provide technical and business mentorship, both within the business unit and across the enterprise.

Who You Are
Bachelor Degree: Business or Technical plus 3+ years of related analytics, consulting, project management, or equivalent experience preferred.
Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and identify alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.
Knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Knowledge of technologies, techniques and practices for the evaluation of business performance data; ability to analyze business performance using statistical methods to justify and drive future business planning decisions.
Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions.
Understanding effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Beginner/Intermediate: SQL, R, Python, visualization tools such as (Power BI, Tableau or others) or other analytical tools.
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
Master's Degree preferred
Demonstrable understanding of the analytics spectrum of capabilities, including Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Science, and emerging topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI.
Knowledge of distribution operations within the insurance industry preferred
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$86450 - $116850 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
