Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are adding a Senior Safety Functional Training Program Manager to our growing Safety division. As a Senior Safety Functional Training Program Manager, you will develop enterprise Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) learning strategy. You will collaborate with EHS partners and lines of business to ensure training delivery, instructional development, and knowledge assets are aligned with the McKinstry Safety Programs and provide creative high-caliber program-specific training for project operations and delivery. You will also evaluate enterprise training strategy success and formulate improvement plans. Additional responsibilities include: Training Program Management Proactively manage the EHS Enterprise learning program strategy. Collaborate with lines of business and partners within EHS to lead and manage various training projects including planning work, managing details, developing content, keeping multiple and complex tasks/projects on track, and achieving reliable results. Develop and maintain learning paths for various staff and field positions, and track employee training completion. Ensure that learning paths and courses align with the safety program policies, procedures, tools, templates, and forms Create and maintain a training roadmap for future learning opportunities. Leverage strong consulting skills to assess, develop, and implement innovative networked learning solutions that assist the business in meeting strategic initiatives and future growth. Measure training effectiveness and plan continuous improvement efforts. Develop, research, and recommend new and updated Safety training to EHS leadership, and lines of business leadership before implementing changes. Conduct Instructor-Led classes, as needed. Participate in the training phase of the Standard Development Process for McKinstry Safety Programs annual review to improve enterprise EHS training strategy. Develop communications about any changes to the safety training program. Produce content, manage data, issue reports from Learning Management Systems and dashboards. This includes managing expiration of required training and safety-related certifications. Support strategy for distribution of Toolbox training to staff and field employees. Instructional Design Maintain enterprise EHS learning strategy. Assess business learning needs and determine the most effective learning solutions. Support and design clear and compelling training content to meet business needs. Work directly with development teams and stakeholders to produce extraordinary training content and agile eLearning solutions. Understand unique job expectations and business processes for strategic roles and communicate effectively to the desired audience. Determine the proper blend of learning solutions that reinforces the direct application of the tools, enhances the learning transfer, and engages learners. Develop first-hand experience with the appropriate subject matter (systems or products). Design train-the-trainer experiences that prepare Subject Matter-Experts to deliver blended programs. Conceptualize technical/functional content into something creative and effective. Conduct technical and editorial r views of training content. Meet project milestones, communicate issues and risks in a timely manner, and manage customer expectations. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry Bachelor's degree in relevant program such as environmental or occupational health and safety, education, communications, instructional design or equivalent work experience required. Eight (8)+ years of overall program management, inclusive of project management experience required. Prior experience working in an EHS function, delivering, and executing EHS programming is strongly preferred. 5+ years of experience working in a relevant learning and development field such as instructional design, education, learning and development, training organizational development. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) Certification preferred. Prior management or supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to think and operationalize programs strategically and at an enterprise level. Demonstrated ability to anticipate and manage change in a highly dynamic environment. Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality required. Demonstrated abilities as a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for excellent customer service. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, including skills in modifying communication to match the appropriate audience, from novices to subject matter experts, stakeholders, and senior leaders.
