Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the commercial real estate industry to find a Property Accountant. This is a full time, permanent position in DTC. It is 5 days in office, and is paying up to $70k + bonus. Additional information and job requirements are below. Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties owned by the organization

• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations

• Ensure timely and accurate payment of property taxes, insurance, and other expenses

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Monitor and analyze property expenses and revenue to ensure financial performance goals are met

• Prepare and distribute annual operating budgets for each property

• Coordinate with property managers to review and analyze tenant leases, rent rolls, and other financial documents

• Provide support during audits and tax preparation, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards

• Identify areas for process improvements and make recommendations to management

• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact property accounting

• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the financial operations of the company

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel in performing accounting functions

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Participate in Budget Processes and manage Cash Activity

• Utilize Yardi tools including Yardi Breeze, Yardi Enterprise, Yardi Property Management, Yardi Software, and Yardi Voyager for property management and Cam Reconciliation.

Reports to: CFO who is a CPA

Requirements

Requirements:

• Full cycle accrual/cash accounting with properties varying in size from small to larger portfolios

• 3-10 years experience in property accounting

• Yardi Voyager or Skyline required

Preferred:

• Cash basis accounting

• Commercial real estate experience
