POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager position is dedicated to driving successful projects for our global team, stakeholders, and customers, significantly enhancing organizational effectiveness, business partnerships, and return on investment. This role encompasses designing, planning, mobilizing, and monitoring all aspects of project delivery via approved project categorization methodologies. Additionally, this position will assist the Project Management Office (PMO) in facilitating new projects through Intake, assist in tracking and reporting the status of the portfolio, align cross-functional team resources, and communicate project interdependencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in planning, execution, and delivery of projects aimed at achieving company goals and objectives within set timeframes and budgets.

  • Adhere to project methodologies, including the creation, maintenance, and organization of project artifacts such as business cases, charters, task schedules, budgets, project organizational charts, and RAIDD logs.

  • Proactively collaborate with and develops strong relationships among AE team members, vendors, and partners.

  • Establish a project communications strategy to ensure effective change management, deliver results through highly effective communications, and keep stakeholders informed of key project statuses and milestones.

  • Ensure risks and issues associated with project activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

  • Address project changes as they arise, often proactively, by altering project processes in accordance with project, departmental, and/or organizational compliance frameworks.

  • Conduct effective meeting management through the use of agendas and minutes to ensure the flow of information and progress.

  • Consistently on the lookout for ways to increase efficiency and reduce rework.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Denver, CO

  • Environment: Standard office environment, onsite at Corporate HQ

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

  • Good balance of business/accounting operational and system expertise required

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across different levels and departments within an organization.

  • Ability to gather and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and/or develop solutions to keep projects on budget and on time.

  • Experience in establishing appropriate internal controls and project governance.

  • Drives implementation of moderately to highly complex work typically requiring confidentiality and enterprise-level visibility to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.

  • Experienced in implementing change management strategies, ensuring stakeholders and teams are trained and adjusted new processes and systems.

  • Communicates with stakeholders and executive/senior management to provide insight on issues through root cause analysis.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • 3+ years of experience leading multiple projects, large to small, to deliver system and business change to organizations

  • Well-versed in public speaking and providing periodic updates to company executives

  • Flexibility to work in an environment that includes discussions/meetings with global stakeholders and team members

  • Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated skills in use of data presentation tools: Microsoft Office, Teams, PowerPoint, Tableau, PowerBI, Visio, JIRA, Smartsheet

Desirable

  • Experience with Change Management principals and methodologies

  • Experience with third-party contractors assigned to managed project teams

  • Experience with global team membership and navigating time zone constraints

EDUCATION:

Essential

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Admininistration or equivalent

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Desirable

  • Certified Scrum Master(CSM)

  • Certified Product Owner(CSPO)

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 to $105,000 per year.
