Job Description

We are currently recruiting for the following course: SPSY 6120 001 Applications of School Psychology Foundations. This is a face to face course that meets on the CU Denver campus, in Fall 2025 or possibly in future semesters.
This course covers topics related to the legal and ethical practice of school psychology, including landmark legal rulings, best practices in special education, functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention plans, and ethical decision making. Practicum II in the schools is required while students are taking this course.
Lecturer, School Psychology Program
What you will do:
Lead class lectures, discussions, and develop and grade assignments
Maintain gradebook and assignments via Canvas
Maintain availability for students via email
Attend School Psychology faculty meetings one to two times per year
Provide feedback about student performance to the Program Director
Have the option of participating in program admissions interviews This position involves working closely with students where the person may become aware of campus safety issues that may need to be reported as part of CU's commitment to compliance with the Clery Act. The person in this role will receive the related training and be required to submit data once per year to the campus Clery Act team. Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications) Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Earned doctoral degree in School Psychology or highly related field
Experience delivering school psychological services to children in schools
Licensure: -School psychologist license
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
At least three years practice as a school psychologist
Licensure as a psychologist
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience conducting functional behavioral assessments and developing behavior intervention plans in the school setting
Knowledge of special education law (both IDEA and CECEA)
Knowledge of NASP and APA ethical standards
Conditions of Employment
- This position requires an onsite presence on campus 1 day approximately every other week.

Compensation and Benefits The salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established at $50 00 per fully-enrolled 3 credit course. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
