Your opportunity

  • Enter all employee transactions in the HR system of record such as new job postings, pay changes, transfers and terminations. Ensures that employee data is accurate in HRIS systems.

  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests in a timely manner, determines what is needed, researches the answers or assists by navigating the employee to the right resource within Janus Henderson.

  • Administers Unemployment claims process including appeals by supplying accurate reports and information to outside vendor within tight timeframes and scheduling HR Business Partners involvement as needed.

  • Ensure job descriptions are prepared and consistent with global template standards, local posting requirements/regulations, and general formatting before posting the role. Liaise with the HR Business Partner(s) or HR Generalist(s) and Talent Acquisition to ensure timely edits and submissions/postings.

  • Conduct exit interviews with employees. Summarize and maintain documentation, analyze trends and provide results and observations to HR Business Partner(s) and managers on a periodic basis.

  • Work closely with HR Business Partners and HR Generalists on global initiatives including Employee Survey, Talent Review and the Year End compensation process.

  • Conducts new employee induction and actively involved in employee onboarding process.

  • Maintain an accurate record via Excel of all separation calculations and provides all exit paperwork and packets to the appropriate Generalist or HR Business Partner.

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating employee policies and guidelines.

  • Partners with the HR Ops team to ensure the HR file room is maintained to record keeping guidelines and requirements.

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team in scheduling of interviews, candidate follow up and the offer and new hire set up process.

  • Coordinate the agenda and follow up notes for the Global and US HRBP meetings.

  • Backup to the HR Generalist on the Immigration administration and oversight.

  • Backup to the HR Generalist for headcount and base pay budget tracking ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

  • Backup administrator of all leave of absence activities including policy updates, pre-leave meetings, time entry, interaction with the leave vendor and required follow up.

  • Backup support for Benefits Specialist, obtaining a good working knowledge of the JHI US benefits scheme.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned

    Must have skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • Analytical, critical thinking, and interpretive skills to apply various employment situations against numerous complicated employment laws and regulations.

  • Communication skills, with particular ability to communicate complex and/or sensitive information in a clear, concise, diplomatic and professional manner at all levels of the organization.

  • Well practiced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Intellectual curiosity and a drive to learn about HR and the Asset Management Business

  • Ability to balance and complete multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with business partners and HR peers; good team player.

  • Able to work well independently.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and in an appropriate manner.

    Nice to have skills

  • 0-2 years’ experience in HR

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems would be beneficial.

    Compensation information

    The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This posting will be available until June 17, 2024.
