Oracle GDI Complex Deal Strategy Manager in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

Oracle’s Government, Defense, and Intelligence (GDI) division has an exciting opportunity for a Complex Deal Strategy Manager.

This individual supports all stages of the GDI indirect sales process from quote to order to provisioning for GDI transactions, deal discussions for strategy and approval tactics, process documentation, process training, and approvals.

This is a remote position with the preferred candidate based in the VA/Washington DC area

Responsibilities

What you will do (Responsibilities):

  • Review and process 2000 Indirect deals / year across all LOBs: tech cloud, apps, license, hardware.

  • Review, validate, and correct DAS submissions as needed including all details of each approval. This requires this individual to remain current on, and be able to apply, Oracle process and policy knowledge for tech cloud, hardware, license, engineered systems.

  • Participate in strategy sessions on complicated (cross-LOB, competitive, ULA) deals and work closely with Deal Strategy Manager once hired on any indirect deals.

  • Ensure consistency in terms and conditions offered across the North American customer base, given transactional size, competition and risk, thereby identifying and mitigating revenue, liability, anti-competitive risk to Oracle.

  • Engage and maintain a seamless working relationship with all stakeholders and shared services – PTC, CMs, OSSINFO, RevRec, INFOPRICE, Legal, Deal Management, other approvers, etc. to facilitate quick execution of transactions and improved business processes.

  • Coach and provide guidance to Renewal Teams, Channel Managers and PTC team with respect to approvals policy and process.

  • Recognize, drive, and implement process improvements and tool clarification activities (PTC team, DAS, GAM, OCAM, SAM, Cloud Playbook) in conjunction with other GDI resources.

  • Consult and work with Tier 1 approvers on any requests that may require additional information or questions.

What you will bring (Required qualifications):

  • Must have understanding of Oracle Channel Relationship

  • Must have 5+ Years in Working with Channel Sales Teams

  • Must have a college degree or equivalent experience.

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • May be asked to acquire a US Security Clearance

  • Must be able to understand all of the Oracle Approval Matrices and guide the sales team in the approvals for a sale.

  • Ability to handle a large volume of transactions and ask for help when needed

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
