Shermco U.S. is seeking a Field Service Manager.

Field Service Manager

Join our team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing, engineering, & training. This position is a working supervisor. You would be supervising technicians and working as a Senior Field Service Technician performing inspections, testing, troubleshooting, start-up, and data collection of low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems, and moderately complex relay calibration and power metering. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a team of technicians, excellent communication skills, and a strong technical background.

Responsibilities Manage a team of field service technicians. Ensure that all service calls are responded to in a timely and efficient manner including working as a Senior Field Service Technician. Provide technical support to the field service team. Develop and implement training programs for the field service team. Monitor and report on the performance of the field service team. Ensure that all service reports are completed accurately and on time. Work with other departments to ensure that customer needs are met. Provide feedback to the product development team on product performance and customer needs. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Prefer an Associate's degree from an accredited 2 year technical college in Electrical Power, or similar experience and training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee) Must have at least 2 or more years of relevant experience. Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures. NETA Certification (Level III, or IV preferred). Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training; training on each can be provided by Shermco. Must have general PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerDB a plus. Other Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests. Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check. Must be able to crawl, climb, stand and lift up to 75 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam. Must have a valid driver's license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record. Must be available for regular overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays and nights. Must be willing to travel; minimum 50%.
