Location: 2525 S. Downing Street

The role you'll contribute:

The value you'll bring to the team:

  • Maintains required department records and statistics for administrative purposes and budget preparation.

  • Maintains adequate supply of hot and cold items required for cafeteria, patient, and unit stocking, stores the dry staples, disposables, frozen and refrigerated groceries in their appropriate storage areas.

  • Ensures the use of FIFO rotation system and properly labels and dates all items per policy.Ensures that items are well organized and accessible. Follows all department and hospital infectioncontrol and safety policies.

  • Applies basic understanding of allergy knowledge when serving patients and guests, conform to diet standards and physician orders, communicates special needs to appropriate staff to ensure patient needs are met.

  • Maintains adequate supply of hot and cold items required for cafeteria, patient, and unit stocking, puts away the dry staples, disposables, frozen and refrigerated groceries in their appropriate storage areas.

  • Ensures that all food prepared meet existing standards for quality, freshness, taste, and appearance.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

Required:

  • High School Diploma OR GED.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to read write and speak English, basic computer skills.

  • CPFS Food Service Safe Certification

Preferred:

  • Culinary training.

  • Experience in hospital food service setting.
