Jacobs has an opportunity for a Construction Project Manager supporting an owners rep program for a government client in the Denver, Colorado area.

Position Description

The Construction Project Manager - Senior Level shall provide project planning support, quality assurance oversight, day-to-day oversight and management, and direct technical support in a management capacity to support facilities projects including, but not limited to, construction, design/build, architecture and engineering, space management, facilities management, real estate, and leasing of large and complex construction projects. The Senior Construction Project Manager shall participate in the design and construction processes and shall have general oversight during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit-out, commissioning and occupancy. General responsibilities include:

• Work on behalf of and in coordination with the client to ensure the government’s requirements and interests are met.

• Have oversight of the project’s baselines (scope, cost and schedule) as well as safety, quality and commissioning.

• Validate the prepared costs estimates and budgets.

• Review and report to the Government on proposed, plans, sequencing, schedules and methodologies proposed by the clients contractor.

• In collaboration with the Government, work with the clients contractor team to ensure requirements of the contract documents are met.

• Oversee and report on all construction work to the client.

• Collect, compile, document, report and maintain all design and construction documentation on behalf of the client.

• Advise the client on design and construction methodologies to include, but not limited to ensuring latest technology and industry best practices are being used.

• Provide assistance with the coordination of general security requirements, as requested (ex. scheduling escorts, afterhours work processing, etc.).

• Assist the client in validating the project schedule and verifying & monitoring the critical pathway.

• Coordinate all deliveries to the construction site (to include coordination with other Contractors not under this contract).

• Coordinate with the client Project Management Team for all required potential operational impacts with an overall goal of minimizing disruptions.

• Follow local security procedures in order to assist with taking, processing, and managing photographs at the construction site

• Bachelor’s Degree in construction related engineering, construction or industrial technology and a minimum of 10 years construction management experience in the design and build of industrial facilities, or

• Extensive USG experience of at least 10 years will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the principals and practices of design-build project management and any associated organizational management systems and techniques.

• Demonstrated experience in running $50M+ construction projects.

• Excellent working knowledge of construction schedules and Critical Pathway Analysis.

• Experience in commissioning large projects.

• TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph.

Ideally, You'll also have:

• Knowledge of SCIF building construction in accordance with ICD 705.

• Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification.

• USACE EM 385 or OSHA 510 or equivalent.

• Project Management Professional (PMP), Design-Build institute of America (DBIA), or other advanced certifications.

• Strong electrical background, with experience with generators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS).
