Overall Description:

  • Coordinates the execution of day-to-day service activities of the Aon service team.

  • Supports Account Executives on larger and/or more complex accounts. Acts as an Account Executive on own book of business while continuing to master the skills of an Account Executive.

  • Secures existing business and drives the sale of additional services and coverages across solution lines. Works at a strategic level to cultivate relationships.

  • Actively pursues new ideas with Aon client teams to provide alternative products and services to clients. Sequences work to achieve timely completion of the most critical and sensitive activities.

  • Develops and maintains an extensive understanding of client needs and expectations. Positions self as a strategic partner and colleague in relation to the business needs and issues of clients and prospects.

  • Drives the renewal process, assembling the appropriate team to develop and implement the client-specific renewal strategy.

  • Coordinates with Brokers in the development and delivery of renewal strategies.

  • Facilitates critical relationships between clients, Aon and insurers.

  • Ensures client service team understanding of client needs, service delivery methods, and the economic framework relevant to services delivered.

  • Leads and/or supports Account Executives with stewardship planning and delivery

  • Ensures overall account profitability with a value-based approach for the scope of service and costs associated with the Client Promise Plan.

  • Arranges Aon compensation for services, whether fee or commission-based, accordingly.

  • Demonstrates a detailed understanding of Aon's resources and capabilities. Effectively uses the Aon network to achieve client risk objectives.

  • Keeps ownership of renewal process, drives renewal strategy, and oversees preparation of client proposals.

  • Develops fee proposal and fee agreement and leads/participates in fee negotiations.

  • Demonstrates their Aon IQ and network to deliver Aon United value to the client.

  • Actively identifies jeopardy situations and handles them according to the Global Standards.

  • Builds strong client relationships.

    Knowledge & Experience:

  • At least 3 years of insurance/risk management experience.

  • P&C license required (if not possessed at time of hire, must obtain within 3 months).

  • Established understanding of core insurance and risk management principles.

  • Solid negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Desire to move into Account Executive Role within 1-2 years.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of industry experience.

    The salary range is $80,000 - $105,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus and production incentives in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus and production incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
