RN II – Cardiovascular Care Unit- Full Time/ Nights

Texas Health Denton is looking for a top skilled Registered Nurse. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Denton: 3000 N I-35 Denton, Texas 76201

Work hours: Full Time (36 Hour) Night Shift

· From 1845 to 0715

· 3 days a week

· Rotating weekends and holidays

Department Highlights:

· 31 bed cardiac unit

· 4:1 patient ratio with a free Charge RN

· Patient population includes post open heart (CABG), post PCI, arrythmia issues, administration of cardiac drips (all rooms have beside monitors)

· High morale with lots of tenure on the unit

Qualifications - External

Here’s What You Need

Education

· Nursing Diploma required Or

· Associate's Degree Nursing required Or

· Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Experience

· 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required

· 1 year of med/surg nursing experience is preferred

· Cardiac or intermediate care experience highly preferred

Licenses and Certifications

· RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required And

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required And

· NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 90 days required And

· ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required And

· CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (maintained annually) 90 days required
