SUNY Delhi Financial Analyst in Delhi, New York

SUNY Delhi seeks a dynamic, positive and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to join the Finance and Administration team. The position will report to the Director of Budget and Accounting and will be responsible for various tasks related to Revenue Accounting and Internal Controls. The successful candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills along with a high degree of creativity and professional curiosity. This is a calendar year (12 month) position.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for revenue accounting tasks such as journal entries, cash and account reconciliations, in addition to researching errors and monitoring accounts.

  • Assist/perform financial reporting including monthly, quarterly, year-end and other Ad Hoc reports

  • Internal control program organization and internal campus reviews

  • Assist with the college budget and fee process including data collection and analysis

  • Provide additional support to the finance and administration team as needed

    Job Requirements:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field

  • Strong technical abilities including advanced Excel

  • Excellent problem-resolution and customer service skills

  • Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working with confidential matters

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Experience managing and organizing projects

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience

  • Higher Education experience

  • Work schedule: 12 Month calendar year

  • Salary: $60,000

  • Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant, SL-3
