Job Description

An employer is looking for a Lead Wireless Engineer in the Detroit, MI area. You will primarily be tasked with supporting the wireless environment for two enterprise clients in the Detroit area. You will act as the SME on the Cisco wireless environment (9800 WLC) for both clients and support related technologies such as DNA, ISE and route/ switch. You will ensure the products are optimized and act as an escalation point for any wireless issues. You will interface with the clients on a daily basis to ensure the products optimization and review/ perform RF surveys to factor into the overall solutions. You will also take on any related new roll outs, migrations or upgrades to the environment.

Skills and Requirements

10+ years experience in wireless network engineering

Extensive background with Cisco 9800 WLC, support and configuration

SME experience in troubleshooting WiFi related issues

Strong background in Layer 2/ layer 3 (BGP/ OSPF) troubleshooting

RF survey experience- reviewing and performing using Air Magnet or Ekahau

Experience with DNAC and ISE for authentication CCNP wireless
