Job Title: Buyer Assistant

FLSA Status: Hourly

Reports To: Buyer Merchandiser-

Festival Foods is a fast-growing, privately owned, Wisconsin based retail Grocer. The Buyer Assistant will support the Department Buyer and Central Pricing to ensure accurate pricing reaches store level for our guests. The Buyer Assistant will work closely with Festival Foods vendor partners to provide our guests with accurate sale pricing.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ad planner data entry

  • Maintenance and execution of pricing.

  • Verify data submitted on Buyer’s form for accuracy

  • Run DSD Buyer’s form through DSD Macro

  • Coordinate billbacks and scan

  • Responsible for billing vendors for ad placement and movement

  • Prepare new items and process new item fees to our vendors.

  • Run high level movement reports upon request.

  • Verify margins per guidelines established by the Price Strategy Director.

  • Prep seasonal items for importing.

  • Support store associates.

  • Provide support to Pricing Support Admin for data entry in to the system.

  • Authorize payment, returns of merchandise, credits and invoice error fees.

  • Partner with the Pricing team to discuss and execute pricing decisions based on parameters set forth by the Price Strategy Director.

  • Responsible for direct communication with all Festival Foods vendor partners.

  • Provide support to Pricing Support Admin for data entry into the system

  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences

  • Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Minimum of 2 years retail experience.

    Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn SMS functions and procedures

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and quickly react to changing responsibilities

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Store level knowledge (ordering, shelf maintenance, pricing)

  • Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
