PATRICK STAFFING, INC. Forklift Operator - 1st & 3rd Shifts in Dayton, Ohio
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating electric-powered sit-down forklifts with joystick controls. This position requires a high level of attention to safety, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure that warehouse operations run smoothly. The candidate must be comfortable working overtime when necessary and meet specific transportation and background requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit-down electric forklift with joystick controls to move, stack, and organize materials in the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are properly secured and handled safely.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and within safety guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet operational goals and timelines.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience operating sit-down electric forklifts with joystick controls is required.
- Availability: Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Transportation: Must have reliable, personal transportation to and from work. No drop-offs, ride shares, or public transportation (bus lines) are allowed.
- Background: Must have no felony convictions or unresolved issues with the Secretary of State (SOS).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and lift materials throughout the shift.
- Attention to Safety: Must follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous.
