Job Summary

At Trane Technologies, we see a big opportunity for a futurist, evangelist and global Thought Leader of Trane Digital Controls to drive success with Trane’s Digital Controls solutions worldwide. This position will achieve our industry-leading sustainability and growth goals by exceeding our customer expectations and growing Trane’s digital controls, services, and contracting, businesses.

Trane Technologies is hiring a Digital Controls Futurist Leader in Davidson, NC. This is a futurist role aimed at evangelizing our technology to help drive revenues globally. This role will champion Trane’s digital controls, contracting, and services initiatives based on Trane Technologies’ digital strategy. Works closely with Chief Digital Officer and the global digital organization to evangelize the digital controls solutions across Trane’s sales teams globally (Americas/EMEA/Asia Pacific). Serves as a trusted advisor to sales teams by demonstrating understanding of Trane Technologies’ digital controls and staying abreast of latest capabilities. Engage with commercial sales office teams on key digital controls deals to assure success. This position has been designated on-site or hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Bring the business strategy of “lead with controls” to life.

• Collaborate with commercial sales office teams across the world to position Trane Controls on key customer projects and engage directly with customers when needed.

• Influence specifications with Trane Digital Controls to earn basis of design and preference (“Day 1 wins”).

• Delight customers for life with Trane Digital Controls solutions to partner with owners through the lifecycle of building ownership (“Day 2 wins”).

• Drive Trane Controls for complex heterogeneous customer footprint that invariably includes Trane and non-Trane equipment.

• Proactively identify opportunities to couple Trane Controls and Trane Digital Services.

• Help standardize Trane Controls offering across multiple business units: Commercial and Thermo King

• Provide thought leadership, coaching, and guidance to regional digital field leaders across Asia Pacific, EMEA and the Americas.

• Partner with Product Management, Digital Engineering, and Controls Product Engineering teams to drive the strategy of “lead with controls”.

• Grow a repository of customer success stories and use cases to leverage across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific with Trane Reference Database.

• Provide regular updates to the Digital SLT and other key-stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering.

• MBA preferred.

• 50% travel in the initial months.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience with Trane Technologies including leadership experience

• Knowledge of Trane Controls portfolio, including Symbio, SC+ and Ensemble.

• Knowledge and experience with Trane Digital Services.

• Experience with Trane Energy Services and large-scale customer projects.

• Knowledge and experience of Controls contracting and large-scale projects

• Strong relationships across Trane’s regional business units and partner/contractor networks.

• Ability to effectively collaborate across functions, SBUs and Enterprise Teams to achieve a positive, productive outcome.

• Strong communications skills and a demonstrated ability to gather facts and deliver succinct, sometimes complex, messages to business stakeholders and global executives.
