At our BorgWarner location in Darmstadt we are currently looking for a

Product Manager (m/f/d) Battery Systems

Your Responsibilities

• Responsibility for a global battery system product family and the progression of topics within the value-stream like

• Product-to-market benefit analyses,

• Go-to-market strategies and initiatives,

• Product launches,

• Evaluation of product changes and

• Ensuring contract-compliant product characteristics for post-series supply

• Actively support product strategy for the upcoming years in close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders

• Determination of technical and commercial market product requirements for existing and future products, including commercial justification with the aim of product leadership

• Managing the creation of functional specifications for basic products

• Determination and management of commercial target values, including product target costs and prices on a system and cell basis based on justified market requirements

• Creation of external and internal product documentation

• Support for customer inquiries throughout the entire product life cycle

• Continuous market and competition monitoring, representation at trade fairs and in relevant working groups as well as active contribution to representative product marketing

• Project Lead for defined projects in concept stage

Your profile

• Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering) or a related field

• Several years of experience in a comparable position, preferably in the automotive industry

• Technical understanding and product knowledge in the field of battery systems is an advantage

• Good market and system knowledge in the field of electromobility is an advantage

• Knowledge of functional safety processes (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, EN 50128 / En 50129) is an advantage

• Confident handling of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP

• Very good communication skills in German and English

• Structured way of working and a high degree of self-organization as well as commitment and ability to work in a Team
