Support Services of Virginia is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team and provide support to people with developmental disabilities in the Hampton Roads area and on the Eastern Shore. The ideal candidate is friendly and positive, open minded and flexible, engaged in the community, and likes to be active. Compensation
A Direct Support Professional just starting will make $13.50 per hour, however once you are trained and cleared to assist with medications you have the potential to make $14.00 per hour. All certifications will need to be verified.

Requirements
Proof of highest level of education
Able to pass criminal/registry background checks and tuberculosis screening
Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid, Medicaid Waiver Certification, and Direct Support Professionals Core Competencies
Strong communication and time management skills
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
