Grant Thorntin is seeking a University Recruiting Manager to join the team in Dallas, TX.

Job Description

Grant Thornton is seeking a University Recruiting (UR) manager. This individual, working with the Associate Director of University Recruiting in the Central Region, will be responsible for leading, developing, communicating, implementing and improving Central Region university recruiting strategies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic business partner to regional service line practice leaders and Market Managing Partners

  • Develop University execution strategy by skillset to meet desired targets

  • Consult on campus recruiting trends using data driven metrics

  • Create and deliver season summary reports to regional service line leaders

  • Own Service line hiring strategy for your assigned region(s)

  • Hiring Targets

  • Direct posting/sourcing of open service line roles on target campuses and consult

  • Diversification Plan

  • Develop early ID strategy to pipeline for future business model

  • Develop Campus Strategy for your specific service lines

  • Track and Monitor Results

  • Ensure service line professionals are aligned to key campus teams appropriately

  • Direct local recruiters on execution of service line specific strategy

  • Develop and execute on-campus recruiting strategy for specific campuses

  • Coordinate and facilitate all logistics associated with hosting on-campus activities at target schools. This includes scheduling and conducting interviews, arranging information sessions, presentations and socials with key clubs and organizations .

  • Partner with resource management and People and Culture colleagues on associate and intern class composition

  • Responsible for the success of the recruiting function in your region

  • Formal Coach to recruiters on your team

  • Train and develop recruiters

  • Responsible for performance management

  • Lead Regional Team calls

  • Influence team to connect and collaborate

  • Work with team to ensure campus plans are strategic and innovative

  • Attend important campus/in-office

  • Ensure your team is driving and executing a diversity recruiting strategy

  • Responsible for operational excellence within your region

  • Compile reporting and update information to keep lead partners in the market and national UR leadership well informed

  • Monitor regional budgets and reports

  • Ensure continuity, best practice sharing, and efficiency within the geographies

  • Influential member of National UR team

  • Lead national trainings and purple chips, develop national templates

  • Roll-up knowledge of market trends to UR national leadership team to influence the strategy real time

  • Contribute to geography and service line discussions to elevate national strategy

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree required.

  • Must have 5+ years public accounting experience, either in a client serving capacity or in a dedicated recruiting capacity.

  • Strong people management experience required.

  • Other skills to consider adapting if we want them to be included:

  • Strategic planning, data-driven decision making, communication, recruiting/sourcing, leadership and coaching, operational excellence, event management, interpersonal collaboration, knowledge of market trends

Additional Information:

  • Occasional Travel is required.
