Jacobs Senior Electrical Engineer - Data Centers in Dallas, Texas

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll be using your design and analysis skills, to plan and design electrical systems for buildings and facilities, and data centers. This will include designing full electrical systems, including power, lighting, grounding, emergency and standby generation systems, and life safety systems. You will be responsible for developing the assigned scope of work, manhour estimates, Electrical Execution Plans, and defined required resources for successful project execution. You’ll be responsible for providing system design calculations and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering). You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.  Your most impactful mission in this role is to embrace living inclusion every day and enabling diversity and equality globally.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from accredited university program

  • PE (Professional Engineer’s) License

  • At least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering design of buildings

  • Demonstrated data center experience

  • Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards

  • Experience in mentoring/coaching younger engineers

  • Proficiency in SKM, Etap, or similar design software

Ideally You’ll Also Have:

  • LEED AP - Experience in Medium Voltage Distribution
