Job Description

Day-to-Day:

- Lot of trainings, PPTs, tip sheets, see trends and call coder to set up training session and make sure to provide resources they need and fix any errors to bring coders to 95% accuracy

- Need a good communicator that can knock out auditing work and see trends to create education

- Auditing is 80% of role, Education and Training 20%

- Create provider education and provide recommendations with coding compliance

- Working with 3 other regionals and have huddle calls and go over hard cases together - cover for other specialties when people on vacation and help with hard cases

- 5-6 coders that have 6 cases per coder weekly -that you will audit and provide results back to them

- Find trends and help with external audits for your specialty

- Send updates and beginning of year for coding changes, ICD 10 changes, etc.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

* Minimum 5+ years of combined experience as a surgical coder and auditor

* 3+ years of experience as a Pro Fee Auditor

* Experience working closely with physicians

* Experience with Pro Fee Surgical coding and auditing within Colorectal/Gastro, Urology or Gynecology specialty -- need to be a specialized expert in one of these specialties

* Strong presentation and communication skills -- need someone very sharp and professional

* CPC Certification required

* HS Diploma required * Strong excel experience

* CPMA Cert

* Athena EMR

* IDX/Indigo system null
