Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Trauma Unit - Full Time Nights

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

  • Work environment: 23-bed trauma med surgical unit specialized in treating patients suffering from traumatic injuries.

  • Work hours: Full Time Nights 36hrs/week (7p-7a)– rotating weekend and holidays

Here’s what you need:

· Nursing Diploma Nursing

· Associate's Degree Nursing

· Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

· One Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

What you will do:

· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

· Cardiac Focused Care

· Management of various cardiac drips
