Job Summary
Serves as a subject matter expert for telematics capabilities and is the primary contact for all related program activities throughout Mastec Utility Services. Ensures standardization of telematics data capture and reporting to Fleet management as well as end user management. Acts as liaison with telematics provider. Manages inventory levels providing adequate regional coverage. Responsible for processes that drive accurate data and provides analysis on key reports. Stays informed of technology and industry trends to ensure Mastec Utility Services is on the leading edge of available solutions.
Responsibilities
Experience in project management, data gathering and analysis, problem solving and communicating recommendations
Attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to follow instructions and processes and communicate effectively
Sound knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and present actionable steps for management
Serve as subject matter expert for telematics capabilities and is the primary contact for all related program activities throughout MUS
Ensure standardization of telematics data capture and reporting to Fleet management as well as end user management
Act as liaison with telematics provider
Manage inventory levels providing adequate regional coverage
Responsible for processes that drive accurate data and provides analysis on key reports
Stays informed of technology and industry trends to ensure MUS is on the leading edge of available solutions
Oversee telematics equipment installation teams
Daily monitoring of telematics systems for data issues and discrepancie
Create reports and metrics to strive for improvement based on results
Review and analyze data to make recommendations to improve our overall fleet management practices
Special projects assigned by Fleet Director
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Fleet Management knowledge.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience leading a team (of 5-10 people).
Experience managing vendors and partners
High standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with professionals throughout all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Telematics systems such as GPS Insights
Experience in utility construction and required safety practices.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.
