Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Trainees perform service, repairs, and inspections associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards. Why is this so important?  Our Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Trainee’s specialized skills, knowledge surround state/federal regulations, and commitment to proper system functioning play a critical role in safeguarding lives, property, and businesses from the devastating effects of fires.

As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Trainee, you will:

  • Assist with or perform installation, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps.

  • Work well with others, take ownership, be a team player, and act with integrity.

  • Assist with or perform installation, repair, and maintenance of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground and fire pumps.

  • Assist with or perform fire sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing.

  • Properly document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site.

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.

  • Generate reports within Siemens digital tools.

  • Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site to include customer signature.

  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training.

  • Work overtime when needed.

  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.

  • Work well with others, take ownership, be a team player, and act with integrity

  • This position reports to the local Supervisor and takes direction from a mentor and Lead Technician.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED.

  • No prior work experience is required.

  • Must be willing and able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.

  • Must be able to demonstrate:

  • The ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the company.

  • Customer-facing and customer service skills.

  • Ability and willingness to follow and maintain highly structured schedules.

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.

  • The pay range for this position is $44,940 - $77,040. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
