Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer/Analyst with a background in DoD major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program, cybersecurity, and Program Protection Plan (PPP) experience to join our engineering team in Dahlgren, VA. Bring your knowledge of the strategies and measures to protect critical program information associated with defense acquisitions, and safeguard sensitive information related to military systems, technologies, and acquisitions throughout the program's lifecycle.

Systems Engineer/Analyst Responsibilities Include:

• Provide and support for identifying program and project risk management including risk identification, risk analysis, risk handling, risk monitoring and risk reporting.

• Perform and document requirements analysis, risk analysis, technology assessments or other security-related studies.

• Prepare and document security inputs for operational afloat and ashore systems throughout the system’s life cycle. Documentation required or products produced may include System Engineering Plans (for both individual systems and systems of systems), CONOPS, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Platform IT (PIT) Designations, Program Protection Plan (PPP) and Cybersecurity Strategy.

• Identifying and categorizing sensitive information that requires protection to maintain technological advantage, operational security, and program effectiveness.

• Conduct and document analyses to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risks to the program's critical information.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to Navy Combat Systems, Cybersecurity, and Program Protection Plan (PPP), including the qualifications below; or US Naval operational experience at the E7 level or higher.

• Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

• Six (6) years of engineering experience with a DoD major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program. Experience in concept definition, DoDAF compliant architecture development, requirements definition, and initial and detailed system design activities. Systems engineering experience focused on requirements development and management of software systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis, and documentation of complex systems involving DOD weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems. Two (2) years of concurrent experience with Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons, combat, and/or fire control systems to include current Navy programs such as SLBM and Aegis Combat System.

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR THIS LABOR CATEGORY REQUIRES CONCURRENT EXPERIENCE THAT SHALL BE DEMONSTRATED IN THE FOLLOWING SUBCATEGORY.

• Computer Systems Engineer – Six (6) years of full-time professional experience in systems engineering. Two of these years must have been full-time experience at the system level in any of the following areas: requirements definition, system design parameters, concepts operation, risk assessment, producibility studies/analyses, performance analyses, test and evaluation, post-delivery support.
